The 16th version of the Immersion Program, one of our institutional long-lasting and traditional projects, was held successfully. This time, around 60 participants –more than ever before– from 3 different schools shared, competed, enjoyed, worked and learned collaboratively; in other words, lived in English for two days. The place was suitable to hold all the settings and activities, and so were the atmosphere and the agenda.
As a school committed to responsible consumption, we took our first steps in aspects regarding waste classification and awareness of avoiding disposable items. That all proved all the elements that converge in an experience such as this one, in which linguistic skills are just a part of the gear, and even formative aspects come before.
The activities proposed and held involved music, art expressions, debates, exploration of commonalities, sports, relay race, and a contest by categories such as history, general knowledge and challenges, giving each work cell the chance to identify strengths and have a balanced participation in dynamics that ended up providing collaborative learning and ties of friendship that may transcend the event itself.
Of course, we still have a lot to learn and improve, and that is why we’ll keep on strengthening bonds of camaraderie with other schools and taking lessons from the wide experience built up so far.
Now, let the pictures and videos speak for themselves!
