This year, the Immersion Program will be held the 8th and 9th of November.
The Immersion Program is a project created and developed since 2008 by the International Language Area of Gimnasio Internacional de Medellin, conceived not only as a teaching tool but also as a chance for some students from Eighth to Eleventh grades, chosen by the Board of Teachers taking into account some selection criteria, to interact in English in such a place where they have no contact with their native language, Spanish. It’s carried out once a year. but issues related to programming, selection and logistics take months. As of 2009, Soleira and Colombo Francés –some of our sister schools- have been invited to join us in the program. Over time, the Immersion Program has become one of the most significant academic projects set out at our school.
